Applications for the workshops have started. Attendees begin a 8 month period of courses with GalataPerform art Director, playwright and director Yeşim Özsoy’s guidance in September. The workshops are conducted by GalataPerform’s Art Director Yeşim Özsoy. Playwright/Director/Actor Yeşim Özsoy’s plays have been staged in various festivals and events both in Turkey and the World. Her plays have been translated into many languages and she has completed her master degree in Performance Studies at Northwestern University, US. She has attended History of Theatre and Theory courses at Columbia University and has participated in undergraduate courses at Sarah Lawrence College based on Acting, Writing and Directing. Özsoy taught at Boğaziçi University, Studio Players and is currently teaching at Contemporary Dance Department at Mimar Sinan University. She is a versatile artist who won the Afife Award. The Schedule of the Acting course is wide ranged. Besides the core classes participants are expected to take mutual classes with students from Playwriting and Directing.
Acting with Instructors from Abroad – This year the selected foreign instructors included in the programme will be from France, Poland, Spain and Romania. Foreign instructors, to be anounced, are an important part of the programme. Ricci- Forte is a good example for what kind of instructors are introduced to the programme.
