Third Universe

2009, 60’

The text of Third Universe reinterprets identities and the complexities of identity in Turkey within an increasingly globalized world shaped by a different form of modernity, while questioning the existence of utopias today.

“Non-places are spaces of transit and passage that lack historical significance and strong symbolic meaning. A place can be defined relationally, historically, or in terms of identity. A non-place, on the other hand, cannot be defined in relational, historical, or identity-based terms.”
(Marc Augé, Non-places: An Introduction to an Anthropology of Supermodernity, 1995:77)

“The company seems to maintain its distinctive style. With a postmodern approach that engages with the social emotions of individuals, and a stage structure enriched by interactive visual design, the group appears to bring a different voice to the theatrical landscape.” Yaşam Kaya, Tiyatronline
