As part of the New Text New Theatre Project, a playwriting workshop was organized for high school students. The workshop invited young people who were tired of watching the same content on television every day, overwhelmed by exam anxiety, seeking change in their lives, and wanting to express their experiences or responses to current issues through writing.

Playwrights, dramaturgs, and academics from the Theatre Criticism and Dramaturgy Department of Istanbul University shared their knowledge and experience in playwriting with the students throughout the workshop. The main themes of the plays developed during the sessions were shaped by the challenges and experiences of the participants. The young writers also had the opportunity to see their texts performed on stage.
